Merida Events: Showcase of Homes!

1 November 2015 Events 4

Now that the excitement of Hanal Pixan is over, the cavalcade of winter events continues! This week, there are various free concerts at the Peon Contreras as part of the fifteenth annual Festival of Choruses here in Merida. And next weekend, the event of the season from Fundación BAI, the 7th Annual Merida Showcase of Homes. The winner of our drawing for two free tickets is Vicki Hillman... so if you are NOT Vicki, we encourage you to get your tickets early because the show can sell out! It's a great way to spend a day, enjoying some beautiful Merida homes and meeting new people.

    Working Gringos;
    We look forward with delicious anticipation to having our copy of your book in hand. We purchased the book via PayPal. We are in Mérida until the end of November. When and where can we pick up our copy?
    Saludos, Peter

    • Working Gringa 9 years ago

      Peter, thank you for buying a copy and supporting us. Copies will be available in Merida starting November 28. If you need to pick yours up before the December 8 Book Signing Party at Hennessy's at 7 pm, email info@yucatanliving.com and we'll arrange another place for you to get your copy.

    I purchased your book on October 7, 2015 thu Paypal. Do you have any idea when it will arrive here in South Carolina? I can't wait to see it! After living in Tucson for a number of years we built a home in Mexico on the Sea of Cortez in Puerto Penasco in the State of Sonora for six years in the late 8o's. We put many miles on our car traveling in Mexico and exploring many small towns. We loved the people and their many crafts & so enjoyed the country-side. We moved to Austin TX, lived there for another 6 years and have now lived in South Carolina for the past 13 years. We'll be in Merida for a week in January taking a five day cooking class. We look forward to meeting you --reading your blogs makes us so homesick for Mexico--S. Carolina is definitely far from it-- in lots of ways! Hope the book arives soon!

      Sue, the books will arrive in the USA in about two weeks (end of November) and we will ship them out soon thereafter. In addition, we'll have about 100 of them for sale in Merida in early December. Our book-signing is Dec. 8 at Hennessy's, and there might be a few left for sale (that haven't already been spoken for). Thank you for ordering yours ahead of time... you will get it in mid-December, and definitely before Christmas.
