Working Gringos Are Inside Mexico!
We were recently interviewed for the premier edition of a new expatriate magazine called Inside Mexico. We thought we would share the following email that we received from the managing editor, Margot Lee Shetterly:
"Thank you so much for taking the time to do an interview with me. We launched Inside Mexico last night here in Mexico City, with a wonderful party at the Rosario Castellanos bookstore in the neighborhood La Condesa. The space is incredible—if you come to Mexico City, it’s a must-see—and we decorated the space with larger-than-life-sized copies of each of the 32 pages of the paper. The event was well attended (among the guests were the US Ambassador Tony Garza, and CEO of the Mexican Tourist Board Magdalena Carral) and all who came had a great time.
I enjoyed talking to you very much, and your thoughts made their way into the feature article, “Who Are We?”. You can download the PDF at our website, www.insidemex.com. We did mini-profiles of five people from around the country, and you two are one of them (I know that you liked the two individual photos you sent, but you two were so gorgeous together in the first picture that our designer insisted on it; it was perfect for the profile). I mentioned YucatanLiving.com in the article, and if we get any incoming emails asking for information, we’ll be sure to send them your way.
We’ll keep you posted on our plans for the future, and upcoming issues. Our website is very simple now but over time you’ll be able to get all of the content for the month, and archives from previous months, online.
Thank you again for all your help, your contribution added so much to the article. Let me know what you think, and let’s keep in touch."
All the best,
Margot Lee Shetterly, Managing Editor
