We are extremely upset as well. We spent thousands to travel from the USA to see the parade and celebrate as we did in 2012
I just found out that we will miss most of the festivities.
Very, very disappointed! I have traveled all over Mexico and to Merida three times for holidays. We are probably going to go elsewhere next time for Dia de Los Muertos.

I am so disappointed that the Dia de los Muertos festivities are not taking place on the traditional dates! I bought tickets for my daughter and son-in-law to come enjoy the amazing parade and altars and now they will miss it all. Especially disappointing is that the schedule of events was not posted earlier.

Julie, we can appreciate your disappointment but that's the way things work in the Yucatan. We put up the dates as soon as we find out... but the people who organize the events don't publicize the dates until the last minute.
