The Rock ‘n’ Roll Merida Half Marathon is a 21K street party. The race starts at dusk and is held during “Hanal Pixan” or Day of the Dead celebrations. The flat, fast course passes Mayan-inspired monuments, colonial mansions from a by gone era, the city’s central plaza, cathedrals, bustling shops and colorful buildings. Expect great entertainment and music along every mile, plus a celebratory concert and beer garden at the stadium finish. Paint your face, put on a costume and become one with the festivities.
