"The traditional mayan medicine has been preserved over the centuries thanks to its therapeutic efficacy". Dr. Javier Hirose will present his book "Medicina Maya Casera" and he will share a large number of herbal remedies as well as their form and methods of preparation.

Dr. Javier Hirose is Biologist and Professor of Human Ecology graduated from the Investigation and Advanced Studies Centre at Politecnico Nacional. He has a doctoral degree in Mesoamerican Studies from School of Philosophy and Literature of UNAM. His working has focused on the traditional medicine study and the current mayan cosmovision. Today, Dr. Hirose is Professor, Researche Fellow at the Univeristy of UNO in Valladolid, Yucatán, where he provides specialised lectures on Linguistic, Mayan Culture and Tourist Development Degrees.
