This film documents the life, work and struggle for survival of the Huichol artist Santos de la Torre. While one of his murals beads enjoys a place of honor on the threshold of the Louvre Museum in Paris, he lives in obscurity, in the heart of the Sierra Madre Occidental of Jalisco. The inauguration of the mural in 1997, which was attended by the presidents Ernesto Zedillo and Jacques Chirac, was widely covered in the press, but the artist was not invited to the ceremony and or paid in full for his work. In Spanish.
